It
is everywhere here.
It
is ugly.
It
has tiny stinging thorns all over the stems.
It
never dies.
It
grows in drought AND soggy areas, and everywhere in between.
It
grows summer, winter, fall, & spring.
It
grows in full sun and complete shade.
It
spreads with berries and also by these horrible large
thorny
taproots that send out runners all over the yard...
I have been trying to get rid of
these vines since I first moved into the house. They are really
difficult to get under control. To remove it you have to dig up the
root...and I mean ALL of the root. Don't leave a small tiny bit behind;
it will quadruple in size overnight and send out runners and strangle
anything that comes in contact with it within a few
days of coming out of the ground.

propogated by the berries it produces.
